This beer packaging is an homage to ancient Japanese Shin-hanga prints, specifically the quiet seaside landscapes of Hasui Kawase. With flat color fields and soft gradients, the illustrations evoke the subtle texture of traditional wooden printing matrices.

The label design is anchored by two flat-style illustrations that balance historical reference with contemporary vector simplification. Smooth tonal transitions lend a distinct visual depth to the packaging, giving the labels a "colorful yet quiet" presence that stands out.

Horizon Craft Beer First sketch dedicated to the first label, where the

character of the illustration isfully expressed in the choice of the

Japanese-inspired subject, taking advantage of the launch of Horizon

beer in conjunction with theYear of the Dragon a symbol of

prosperity and one of the most prominent subjectsin East Asian art

and painting. The presence of a cultural fusion isan important trait of

Horizon'sidentity, which standsout for a creative menu linked to

Asian street food aswell aslocal products.

The thematic choice of imagery bridges cultural storytelling with brand identity. Timed with the launch during the Year of the Dragon, the primary illustration features the iconic creature—a symbol of prosperity in East Asian art.

A second sketch, in which the marine theme is given greater prominence—for Horizon Helles—both in the color scheme and in the choice of character. The illustration retains the previously established style, while incorporating a more distinctly Mediterranean feel and character.

This direction allows to eventually extend the options to different characters, while directly mirroring Horizon's broader hospitality concept, which pairs local craft brewing and products with an Asian street food menu.
